Kevin Rodda, O.D.

Optometrist located in Lakeville, MN

About Dr. Rodda

Dr. Kevin Rodda graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2018 where he developed interests in primary eye care, medical eye care, and contact lenses including specialty lenses. His interest in specialty contact lenses such as scleral lenses and gas permeable contact lenses comes from his father, who has a corneal condition called keratoconus which is best corrected with specialty lenses. Dr. Rodda has seen firsthand the difficulty patients with keratoconus, as well as other corneal conditions, have with vision and enjoys working with these patients to maximize vision with these unique contact lenses.

Dr. Rodda was very active as a student, serving as class treasurer, a student blogger for the college, and as Student Council president. Dr. Rodda received the Dr. Lyle Aloysius John Gassman Memorial Award, which is presented to the graduate who best exemplifies Dr. Gassman’s humanitarian characteristics, leadership qualities, and service to others. Additionally, Dr. Rodda was honored with membership in Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity recognizing academic achievement in optometry school.

Dr. Rodda grew up in Northeast Ohio and completed his undergraduate degree at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Prior to becoming an optometrist, he lived and worked in Cincinnati, Ohio working in a quality control chemistry laboratory. Although a lifelong native of Ohio, Dr. Rodda is no stranger to Minnesota. His mother is a Minnesota native and being raised in a baseball family, he was raised a Twins fan in the heart of Cleveland Indians territory. An avid baseball fan, Dr. Rodda has been to 20 different current baseball stadiums, 27 different stadiums overall, and hopes to someday make it to all 30 current stadiums. Be sure to ask him which is his favorite and what stadiums he has yet to get to! As a new Twin Cities local, Dr. Rodda is looking forward to exploring the cities (he always appreciates recommendations), catching numerous Twins games, and enjoying all that Minnesota has to offer!

Dr. Rodda is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association.
